PRINTS FROM INDIA
The new prints were made in Baroda, India, during Olson’s 2026 residency at AWAAZ Studio. Working from fourteen drypoint copper plates, Olson produced a suite of black-and-white prints, each issued in an edition of 20. Alongside these editions, he created a series of unique colour monotypes by painting directly onto the etched copper plates before printing, allowing each impression to become a singular variation on the original image.
The result is a collection that moves between structure and improvisation: the drypoint editions preserve the immediacy of incised line, while the monotypes introduce colour, touch, and chance into the printing process.
